Boy Books

I have not been good about keeping track of books the kids are reading but I am constantly on the lookout for good boy books and am often sharing titles with other parents.  Again, I am sick of trying to find emails and am going to try using Blast Board…

**Horrible Histories – These are books from the UK but there are various online book sellers.  Special thanks to my California Community College friend and fellow board member Van Ton Quinlivan for this recommendation! George gets their magazine (yes from the UK) and is fully versed in British history from Vikings to Saxons, Normans, Tudors, etc.  They also have some US history, Incas, Aztecs, Romans, Greeks, Egyptians, etc.  THEY ARE SOOO GOOD!!

What our second grader has read (is reading)

Press about good books

If you like Nate Silver (yes, the NY Times statistician who called the 2012 elections), this is a great book review with two math-related picture books.  We are waiting for the books from the library…
